With Tafwyl only a few days away, here’s a few things to keep in mind over the weekend.
Cost: Entrance is free to Tafwyl Fair. Some activities will charge a small fee but most activities are free.
Alcohol: Tafwyl has licensed certain areas of Llandaf Fields, and we have four bars this year with lots of locally-sourced beer, ales, cocktails, ciders, wines and spirits that will leave you spoilt for choice! But please take note – you will not be able to bring your own alcohol onto the site. We are not licensed for this and anyone trying to sneak their own alcohol past our friendly stewards will be searched and may be asked to leave the site. Customers who are under 18 years old will be asked to leave the festival site if found in possession of alcohol.
Challenge 25: At Tafwyl all bars operate a Challenge 25 policy. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 please visit the information stall where you can collect an over 18 wristband by producing your valid ID.
Glass: No glass will be allowed to be taken onto any part of the site. A list of other prohibited items will be displayed at the entrance to the site.
Children: We request all parents visit the information stall on arrival and collect children wristbands on which you can fill out contact details which could be used to contact you should you become separated.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in all areas other than at the designated smoking areas.
Dogs: Dogs are permitted on site but not inside any marquees or structures. Please be respectful to others and clear up after dogs. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
Public Safety & Security: We are increasing security provision this year at Tafwyl. As a condition of entry you may be subject to a bag or body search, please be co-operative and assist security staff with this. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person who refuses to be searched by a steward or other person acting on their behalf. Please allow extra time for arrival at the festival site and come without large bags or rucksacks. Please be advised that you may have to queue upon entry so we ask that you are patient.
Parking: There will not be a designated car park for Tafwyl – but there are plenty of car parks around the area.
Cash: There will be four cash machines on site.
Times: Tafwyl Fair will open at 11.00 and close at 21.00.
Accessibility: The site is completely accessible to everyone. Disabled toilets and Baby Changing Facilities are located on site.
And most important of all, don’t forget to have a great time!
