The Taff Trail
If you are travelling from South or North Cardiff you can join the Taff Trail, an ideal route that is mainly free of traffic.
From the North you will get access out of Bute Park [Coopers Field] and on to Castle Street [A4161].
From the South you can travel from Cardiff Bay. You can join the Taff Trail from the A4119 [Clarence Road Bridge] ride along a quiet road [Taff Embankment] and then a non-traffic route along Taffs Mead Embankment and Fitzhamon Embankment to reach Castle Street.
Cardiff Bay Route
If you are traveling from Penarth you can come across the Barrage or Pont y Werin Bridge and follow the Bay Route to join the Taff Trail at Clarence Road Bridge [A4119]. If you are coming from South Grangetown you can also join this path.
If you are traveling from Ely or Victoria Park you can join the Ely Route. Parts of this route are on roads and parts are traffic-free.
