On Welsh Language Music Day, it’s with great pleasure we can reveal Tafwyl’s date & new location for 2017.
Cardiff’s Welsh Arts & Culture Festival will be held on 1 & 2 July at Llandaff Fields, rather than Cardiff Castle for a year.
Due to the UEFA Champions League Finals’ Hospitality being held at Cardiff Castle, Tafwyl’s main event will move for a year. We are delighted that Llandaff Fields has been chosen as our home for the year, and are very excited to be bringing this event to the area!
The event continues to be 9 days in total: a fringe event held all around the city in museums, libraries, cafés, bars & art centres for 7 days, ending with the main event over a weekend at Llandaff Fields.
As always the festival will be bringing a dazzling array of some of the biggest names in Welsh arts, culture & sports to Cardiff; along with an excellent street food area.
Entry to the festival at Llandaff Fields is free & open to all – being a Welsh speaker or not. It’s a great event for families, Welsh learners & people experiencing Welsh language & culture for the very first time.
Tafwyl is a showcase of the Welsh language and what the Welsh do best, so don’t miss out, there will be a big croeso for everyone to come and join us and experience the uniqueness of Tafwyl.
The full programme will be revealed later in the year so keep an eye on the website for more info.
